오늘날의 성수동의 문화는 힙스터들이 만들어나가고 있다. 본래 힙스터 문화란 주류를 배척하는 중산층 이상의 청년 중심의 문화이다. 그러나 한국에서의 힙스터는 누구보다 주류를 이끄는 사람들이다. 힙스터들과 그 팔로워들이 성수의 문화를 만들어나가고 있는 것이다. 나는 이러한 힙스터들과 팔로워들에게 요즘 성수에서 대두되는 IT, 미디어, R&D, DESIGN 산업들을 통해 새로운 경험을 선사해주는 문화복합공간을 제안해보고자 한다.
Hipsters are creating the culture of Seongsu-dong. Originally, hipster culture is a culture centered on young people above the middle class who reject the mainstream. However, hipsters in Korea are the ones who lead the mainstream more than anyone else. Hipsters and their followers are creating the culture of Seongsu. I would like to propose a cultural complex space that provides these hipsters and followers with new experiences through the emerging IT, media, R&D, and DESIGN industries in Seongsu these days.

Concept
제안된 문화복합공간은 사용자들에게는 기술박람회이자 PLAY의 장으로 기업에게는 테스트배드이자 WORK의 장으로 여겨진다. 사용자들이 신기술을 체험하며 즐기면 기업은 바로 그 데이터를 얻을 수 있다.
The proposed cultural complex space is considered a technology fair for users and a place for PLAY, and a testbad and a place for WORK for companies. When users experience and enjoy new technologies, companies can get that data.
그리고 코어 속에 커뮤니티인 코어뮤니티라는 개념을 제안해본다. 코어를 레이어화 시키고 나눔에 따라 가운데 커뮤니티 공간이 생기고, 이렇게 생긴 코어뮤니티는 다양한 수직 이동 동선을 만들고 PLAY의 공간과 WORK의 공간을 나누기도 잇기도하는 다채로운 공간으로 작용할 것이다.
And I propose the concept of community in the core, coremmunity. Community spaces are created in the center by layering and dividing the core. The coremmunity, which looks like this, will serve as a variety of spaces that create various vertical movement, divide and connect the space of PLAY and WORK.
